Tiny Wreath of Protection - Bittersweet Nightshade & St. John's Wort
When I think of a protective talisman I think of a guiding force that leads me through tragedy and sorrow, guarding my resiliency and my ability to heal. I do not believe that any talisman can offer us protection from the slings and arrows of living. It’s how we navigate through the difficult times we will inevitably face that is the true protective grace I seek. Something that can help me build power from the tribulations that I experience and move forward with greater knowledge and discernment.
Bittersweet Nightshade is a poison plant that is fierce and resilient in it’s tenacity for life. It weaves it’s way through all obstacles always reaching for the light and stretching out its tiny red jewels of berries that seem to stand in defiance of any winter chill. A truly lovely guardian for our hearts and homes. Likewise the effervescent St. John’s Wort shines brightly with sunny protection of the heart. It has long been revered for it’s protective guidance.
Place in the home to invite the healing spirit of these plants into your life.
This wreath contains: Handwoven birch twigs, Bittersweet Nightshade, St. John’s Wort and a jacquard bow (These plants are toxic and not for consumption!)
—————
I craft these wreaths from flowers that I grow in my garden and painstakingly forage from the verges and wilds of the Pacific Northwest. I dry everything myself and nothing is ever treated with chemicals or fixatives and I do not bleach or dye my flowers, these are their natural stunning colors. Expect some light shedding as is natural for dried materials. Treat them gently like you would a Venetian wineglass!
CARE NOTES: Prolonged exposure to sunlight will fade the colors of your dried wreath. Keep dried flowers away from windows to prevent this and they can last for years!
WARNING: keep out of reach from pets, children, and anyone who can’t be trusted about putting things in their mouth. Some of these plants can be toxic.
