Hand Woven Bird Nest - Late Summer - Wind Blown
I weave these little nests out of gathered dried grasses, vines, wildflowers and herbs to mimic real bird's nests. Each one is unique according to the season I forage materials in, this batch is made from late Summer grasses.
It can take quite a while to forage all the materials I need to weave a convincing little nest. You can see a video of my process here: https://youtu.be/XDbe2aKnLqU?si=l51cC_IIdSKpWGB7
I enjoy tucking them on shelves, window ledges, curios, and altar spaces. I often fill them with special jewelry pieces, painted eggs, beach stones, crystals and talismans .
They bring a touch of whimsy and protection to any home they grace and are completely free from any chemical treatments, making them entirely biodegradable.
